This is old school Italian. It could be very romantic, or you can bring your mama. It has been around for 25 years. You get bread including focaccia - a kind of pizza bread, then a salad and soup, then an entree - try the veal Parmesan, and a side of pasta.
Many recommend the baked Alaska dessert. I also hear that the weekday lobster special is wonderful.
The dining room is set off from the good-sized bar, where the piano player is a big draw on Saturday night. It can get pretty smoky even in the "nonsmoking" area. The furnishing and decorating feel old - well probably because they are. That is part of the charm of this "from another era" Italian place.
Valet and street parking available.
