Breakfast Buffet

Breakfast Buffet

Crystal Palace is located inside the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World; therefore theme park admission is required. We arrived pretty early in the morning for our breakfast and the park was still closed. After showing our confirmation number for our priority seating to the ticket attendants, we were allowed into the park. This was great. We got to see the Magic Kingdom without people everywhere! This allowed us to take some pictures of Cinderella's Castle without having other people in our photos. It was a terrific photo opportunity.
Once we were seated in the restaurant, we were told the buffet was ours for the taking, and that the characters would be by soon. The buffet offered lots to choose from including chocolate chip pancakes which were my favorite. I was able to go back for several helpings. Not too long after we had gotten our first plate, Eeyore, Pooh, Tigger, and Piglet came by to take pictures and sign autographs. We had a big group (8 of us all together) and the characters didn't mind taking pictures with each of us. We got to spend as much time with them as we needed. They always seemed to make sure we were done before they moved onto another table. About half-way through our breakfast some fast paced music started playing and all the kids followed the characters dancing in a big circle which covered the entire restaurant. The kids seemed to really enjoy that.
We had two young kids in our party (ages 2 and 5) and they really enjoyed interacting with the characters, but they were often distracted from eating by watching what the characters were doing at the other tables. But overall it was a great experience and the food was pretty good too.

Crystal Palace

This is a table service restaurant inside the Magic Kingdom. It is also a character meal with the characters from "Winnie the Pooh". Winnie, Eeyore, Piglet, and Tigger will all come by your table to say hello. It was a lot of fun meeting them. This is a buffet-style restaurant with a number of good foods to choose from. We did the lunch buffet, and we both enjoyed it very much! I think it was my husband's favorite meal of the trip. The dessert buffet was also very good. This is a place we will definitely come back to on our next trip!

If you want an early morning interaction with the Winnie the Pooh characters, this is the place to go. They also have an excellent buffet. They have almost every breakfast food you could want, and it was all hot and delicious. The characters made their way around to every table for pictures and autographs. You do not get rushed out of here, either, as you can take your time eating. If you leave here hungry, it's your own fault.

Don't bother unless you have at least one child who will love collecting Disney character autographs! The buffet is okay, although I did appreciate the excellent selection of vegetable dishes, but it's still a buffet. That always leaves me a little less than impressed when the price exceeds $15, and this exceeds that threshold.

Crystal Palace at The Magic Kingdom

Crystal Palace is located on Main Street in the Magic Kingdom. The sculptured characters in flowers and greenery greeted us as we came in. We had late lunch reservations but did have to wait briefly.

The windows and high ceiling give it an atrium-like feeling. Spacing between tables was good since the characters have to roam around, but the table itself was a little small for the seven of us.

A celebration parade is held (hourly?) for those celebrating special occasions. We were supposed to get a birthday treat for our table but it didn't arrive and we actually forgot about it since the buffet choices were amazing. Just have them make a note when you make your reservation and then confirm it with them when you check in at the restaurant.

Pooh, Piglet, Tigger, and Eeyore will come to your table and visit. Very willing to pose for pictures and goof around with children of all ages.

Service was good, buffet was well-stocked and the drink glasses were quickly refilled.

We opted for the lunch option to save a little money. It's still not a cheap meal, but it's worth the splurge.
