The corner location restaurant has two floors, but the second is only open if there is an overflow of patrons. The ground floor is where the dining is done mostly. Roast duck, lamb stew, mixed meat clay pot, and wonton soup are just some of the items available.
There are only about seven tables on the ground floor. The deli counter has a fair amount of foot traffic and deals with some orders for take out.
Some items are already cooked or can be quickly cooked at the deli counter for quick service: roast duck, roast pork, Chinese barbecued pork, soy sauce chicken, boiled chicken, or wonton can be freshly cooked at the deli counter. Rice plates can be prepared there, too, if you order one of the meats already cooked and available at the counter.
The kitchen can whip up dishes quickly if it's not real busy. One time, when they were training a new cook, our order took forever. We should have picked up the visual signals--there were lots of patrons sitting at tables waiting for their orders also.
If it takes a long time--like more than 15 minutes--and your food hasn't arrived, ask to change your order to something already cooked that can be done quickly by the deli-counter person, like wonton soup or roast duck over rice. You might want to ask if the order will be quick before ordering.
