The inside of the restaurant is beautiful and offers some incredible murals of NYC. It has over 400 seats! But the most important part is the pizza. Wow! You will need extra napkins to wipe up the drool here. Their prices are more than reasonable, too. The small margherita pizza (just plain cheese and sauce) will only cost you $12.50. The bad part was knowing we could only get a small since we had no way to take care of leftovers. They have four huge brick ovens in the back. So try to get a seat near the back to watch these guys in action.
They even have a website if you want to see what they have before you arrive. Their website is www.johnspizzerianyc.com.

Ray's, on the other hand, is all about slices, although you can get a pie here, too. Many places claim to be the original Rays, but the first and best one is on the corner of West 11th Street and 6th Avenue. It's heaven on Earth and probably the best pizza in the world.
