El Jardin Restaurant, distingushed from the more laid back El Jardin Cafe up Clark Street, is a traditional Mexican-American restaurant. The serve up margaritas - the strawberry ones we concluded were too sweet. I had beef tostadas and others with me had steak tacos, enchiladas con mole or flautas. Most entrees are about $10 and come with plenty to eat. In the summer the outside patio is a favorite dinner spot to enjoy the warm air and the people-watching of the Wrigleyville area. After a Cubs game, it can be very crowded - so get there early. I sent for a birthday celebration, and they gave the birthday boy a sombrero and a flan with a sparkler in it!
