I started to panic when it was time to find a restaurant for dinner in Manhattan before taking the train home. We wandered around looking at menus on restaurants on 7th Avenue. By luck, we picked Mustang Harry’s and it was wonderful. I would highly recommend the place.
Location: Perfect since it was within a block of Penn Station(where the train would leave from).
Décor: Excellent with beautiful wood paneling, warm colors throughout the restaurant, interesting light fixtures, a bar area, booths and tables.
Food: Excellent. The menu was quite extensive, but the waiter made some excellent recommendations. Both of our meals were very delicious and I would order the same entrees (except I would want to sample one of the other choices).
Service: Excellent. When we first entered the restaurant, there seemed to be quite a few tables available. However, on closer examination, I discovered that all, except the one we got, were reserved. Within 15 minutes, the place was full. I was worried about the time, but our dinners arrived promptly and getting to the train station on time was not a problem.
Extras: The waiter also was very accommodating and provided extra vegetables instead of potatoes since my wife is on the Atkins diet.
