My experience at Benihana was wonderful. Upon entering the restaurant for the first time, I knew that it was going to be a fun time. The place was decorated with Japanese figures and pictures of the owner with movie stars and sports athletes. As for dinner, we got a personal chef and were seated around a grill, where he whipped up in styling fashion our sampler of shrimp and veggies. The menu varied in prices from about $12 to $30. I got the teriyaki beef platter and fell in love with it. The food is just enough and not too much. Ordering two plates and sharing could be a good idea. My recommendation is to try the fried banana for dessert. You won't be disappointed.

Benihana Japanese Steakhouse & Sushi Bar prepares and cooks the food in front of the diners. The preparation and cooking was terrific to watch, but the taste quality just wasn't there for me. After such an exciting cooking show, I was disappointed in the taste not living up to its expectations, selling on its sizzle, not the food.

I would opt instead for one of the many better quality Japanese restaurants all around the immediate area.
