The food is prepared Calabash style (not really sure what that means, but I can tell you that it is good). At the buffet, you can get every form of seafood available: shrimp, scallops, oysters (in season), crab legs (major draw for most people), blue crab. If you are not a seafood lover than you can get chicken, french fries, pizza, hot dogs, and hamburgers. Desserts are also included: ice cream, bread pudding, pie, etc.
The atmosphere is very family oriented with a mermaid in most of the Seafare locations (real mermaid floating around in a pool in the restaurant). Service and food quality overall is good, but you can always find an angry server or overcooked shrimp. So try it out and enjoy!
P.S. Wear you most loose fitting clothes.

The grandchildren enjoyed the atmosphere with the live mermaids and music.

I have eaten in many buffet-style restaurants, but have never before found that even the steamer pan just brought out had contents that were overcooked and tasting as though it had been on the table for an hour. I know it is hard to keep fish tasting fresh, but this was really poor.
