What a great meal! I love this place. I was especially impressed with the courteous service of the waitstaff. The quality of the food was more than excellent for the price. I would reccomend this place highly to anyone on vacation in Orlando!

A Taste of Hong Kong

We went to this Hong Kong dim sum restaurant late morning/early afternoon. I wanted "pomai" tea, but they offered jasmine and charged for it. I'm used to dim sum places giving you complimentary jasmine tea, but this is Florida, not California. I noticed that they did have chrysanthemum tea, but I only like chrysanthemum with pomai, so we just drank jasmine.

They did not push the dim sum carts because there weren't enough people dining for it. You had to put your orders in together instead of just waiting for the cart to come by. I was not able to get chao siu bao (baked pork buns), but they offered the steamed pork buns instead. We ordered shrimp balls, spring rolls (which turned out to be egg rolls), har gao (shrimp dumpling), and sesame seed balls filled with red bean paste.

We were asked if we spoke Chinese, which we didn't. Eventually, our waiter asked if we were Korean or Chinese. How funny that we were asked our ethnicity at every Asian restaurant that we went to. We must have looked like tourists. We were treated well by our server, and I noticed that all were treated equally well.
