Skibladner

Description

On 2 August 1856, Skibladner had her maiden voyage on Lake Mjøsa. Skibladner is part of Norwegian cultural heritage and an exciting experience for both tourists and other visitors. Since her first voyage, the ship's general appearance and interiors have changed very little.

Skibladner has a pleasant restaurant with a seating capacity of approximately 70 people, where breakfast, lunch and dinner are served. The most traditional dish is poached salmon, with fresh strawberries for dessert. The average cost of a meal would be about NOK315. A children's menu is available. On board the ship there are also three lounges which have been restored to their original splendour. There are different concerts and cultural arrangements during the season.

Skibladner's regular service runs from 25 June to 11 August. The rest of the season she is operated as charter traffic. To get there, take the train from Oslo Central Station to Eidsvoll, Hamar, Lillehammer or Gjøvik.

Credit cards are not accepted by the booking-office, but on board the ship they accept VISA and American Express. Booking is advisable. Embark 10 minutes before departure. For booking, contact Skibladnerkontoret, Torgt 1, 2317 Hamar, tel. +47 62 52 70 85, fax +47 62 53 39 23.
