Description
This restaurant offers imaginative cuisine in the middle of all the Heurigen places in the 19th district. The Eckel is said to be one of the best restaurants in the area, and in the summer, there are few more pleasant places to eat than the garden at Eckel's. The large menu is traditional Viennese, but it is stylishly presented. The fish and seafood, especially the lobster, are particularly good here. So is the wide selection of veal dishes. The wine list is superb; there are excellent wines from the Wachau (a region west of Vienna with famous vinyards).
