Sydney's Best Restaurant
We spent 6 days in Sydney and found Bel Mondo on the 5th. night. Your review is out of date - it's been sold we found out and it's now really relaxed. It's an old building - the waiter told us one of the oldest in Australia. Old beams, high cielings and wooden floors. Fantastic views of the Harbor bridge and the Sydney Opera House. But the Food! Fantastic is the only way to describe it. Mostly Italian but not all. Great beef, great pasta and great fish. REALLY ROMANTIC. We had great service and they were helpful and friendly without being pushy. Very smart; good crowd (we didn't book but they found us a table after half an hour) looked like all locals. We went again on our last night! Its expensive but really worth it.
