You would be forgiven for thinking you had walked into a barn when entering this enormous Japanese restaurant. Tables are sunk into pit-like pens and surrounded by wooden palings. Unlike many refined and quiet Asian restaurants, this joint is super loud and rowdy. The crowd of mostly hip, young things all seem to love the place and especially get in to the post-dinner karaoke. It is less than AUD20 per person, there is a well-priced wine list, around AUD20 per bottle and an amazing variety of classic Japanese dishes including sushi and sashimi.
