The Miyako Hotel's Chinese restaurant offers excellent Szechuan-style cuisine, pleasing those who like spicy dishes. Calligraphy and a fresh fish tank are attractive decorations. Specialty items include sharks fin soup with egg whites at JPY1,500, deep-fried stuffed crab claws at JPY1,000 each, braised lobster with chili sauce (a medium-sized portion is JPY8,000) and cold abalone--JPY4,000 for a small serving. Various soup noodles and rice plates are available in the JPY1,300-JPY2,000 range. Bottles of wine begin at JPY3,500; a glass of wine is JPY900. Draft beer and sake are both JPY700.
