I've been eating here for about 9 years, and it's by far the best Indian food in Phoenix. They just opened a huge, new two-story building across the street from the original location. It's a lot bigger and nicer in the new building. They have a lunch buffet 7 days a week from 11am til 4pm for $7.95. This all-you-can-eat buffet is great for first-timers because of the selection of different foods. There are always a couple of vegetarian dishes, as well as meat dishes. You can also order off the regular menu if you don't see what you want on the buffet. The buffet comes with naan, which is an Indian flatbread. Ask for the garlic naan--it's much tastier, and they won't charge you extra for it.

The family that owns it is very friendly and always recognize regulars, even if it's been a while since they were last there. I'm working on getting some pictures.
