Cape May Cafe Character Breakfast

Reservations: I highly recommend calling (407) W-Disney to make reservations in advance. If not you may or may get a table. We made a 9:30am reservation for 2 and were seated withing 5 minutes of our arrival.

Food: Standard for a breakfast buffet, fruit, bread, muffins, eggs, sausage, bacon, and Mikey Mouse-shaped waffles. Everything was tasty and fresh but not gourmet or anything really impressive.

Service: Very friendly and attentive waitress and hostess. We were never waiting for more drinks or the check. She was chatty and friendly but not overly so.

Cost: $15/person, typical for a breakfast in a restaurant and here you get to meet the Disney characters too. Overall a great value for the money.

Characters: We got to meet three Disney Characters: Goofy, Dale, and Minnie Mouse. They were all dressed in swim/beach attire and walked around the room spending time at each table "conversing" with the guests and posing for photos. This was a fun meal, and I was very pleased with the amount of time the characters spent at our table. Be sure to keep your camera out on the table and ready to take pictures! This breakfast offered a much better interaction with the characters than waiting in line in the Magic Kingdom for an hour to take a quick picture.

Character Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner

We had 8am reservations at Cape May Café (located inside the Beach Club Resort) for their breakfast, which also happens to have characters. Dad loves breakfast foods, so I wanted him to have a nice breakfast on the trip. I was dreading the character part but figured I could suck it up for one meal. People in costumes make me… uncomfortable!! There was plenty on the buffet: Mickey waffles, Krispy Kreme donuts, bagels, croissants, two types of eggs, bacon, sausage, fruits, potatoes… plus we each got drinks. The characters were Goofy, Minnie, and Dale (minus Chip for some reason), and we did take a few pics of each other with the characters. I didn’t want to, but the CHARACTERS insisted!!
