Citrico's is an absolutely beautiful Mediterranean restaurant located in Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. This restaurant was defintely a splurge during our college spring break. No lie (but then I have no control over my spending habits), my bill was over $75 just for myself. However, I had a great experience and didn't mind spending the money...just sending out a friendly warning. Priority seating is recommended to dine at this restaurant and we did this probably 3 weeks before our vacation. We were seated right away. Their wine selection is outstanding, probably one of the finest I've ever seen, I had probably one of the best chardonnays I've ever tried. Our waiter was so friendly and so well-mannered (I definitely left him a 35% tip). However, he was super-checking my ID and even took it to the back to verify my age, which is a common occurence in Orlando in my experience (at the time, I was in fact 21). If you are in a hurry, I do not recommend dining here or probably any of the fine-dining restaurants at WDW, because they do take their time--they truly want you to have a dining experience, very relaxing. I had a wonderful salmon that was absolutely amazing, and my friend had this filet that just melted in your mouth. Unfortunately, I am lactose intolerant and couldn't try any of the decadent desserts (it was devastating, believe me); however, I did have the sorbet trio, which was amazing--they were so fresh and beautifully displayed.

For a true dining experience, please try Citrico's--the atmosphere and food were absolutely gorgeous.

Open for dinner ONLY. This is the restaurant that replaced the old Italian family-style Flagler's on the second floor of the hotel. It's definitely a step up. Billed as the largest of the hotel's restaurants featuring market fresh cuisine from the South of France. I would say the market fresh part is correct, but to me the cuisine is along the New World/Fusion style - fresh ingredients combined in innovative & surprising ways. Guaranteed to tickle the taste buds. Not only is the food a departure from the hotel's Victorian theme, but so is the decor - open and bright with modern geometric designs.

We arrived right as the restaurant was opening for the evening. Our table faced the working kitchen. For a starter, we had a fresh cream of broccoli soup that was ladled over seared jumbo scallops garnished with cheese & chives. Beef carparria followed by seafood filled ravioli in a light broth. For dessert - gingerbread with apple sorbet (all make right there in the restaurant) with carmelized apples. Every course was a total taste treat!

Nice wine selection (we had a '97 Chinon). Go! Enjoy!
