Although the restaurant has a limited menu and is a little on the expensive side (main entrees range from $12 to $20), we love it for its ambiance. San Angel Inn is very dark, romantic, and cozy. We celebrated our first anniversary there. From the restaurant, you have a beautiful view of an ancient Mayan pyramid with an erupting volcano, and you can watch The River of Time boats go by. In addition, there is sometimes a mariachi band for entertainment.
When you are done dining, you can do a little shopping in the festive marketplace. Not everyone knows about this restaurant due to its location inside the pyramid. Don’t miss out on this great dining experience.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in all of WDW. I believe that it has THE best atmosphere of any restaurant. Although it is indoors, you feel as though you are at an outdoor restaurant with the El Rio de Tiempo (The River of Time) flowing nearby. The music and the lighting add to the intimate/romantic/relaxing ambience.
The food here is outstanding. The portions were large and the quality was excellent. I believe that I had a dish of enchiladas. I just remember it being delicious.
As I said, this restaurant is set for relaxation and even romance. That is not to say that it is also not great for families. I very highly recommend this restaurant to everyone.
