Description

The proprietor and chef of this impressive avant garde restaurant is Gerard Mara, an alumnus of Commander's Palace and Mr. B's Bistro. The olive-hued walls exude warmth. A simple bar and wine rack is a classic red mahogany. The glass walls permit lovely views of Lafayette Square and the stately columns of Gallier House. The menu is refreshing, with elegant dishes such as the paper-thin ravioli freshly prepared with bits of lobster in saffron sauce and leeks. The herb crusted lamb chops upon satin potatoes baked and layered with cream are also wonderful. The salad selection offers an array of fresh greens picked from the farm of Chef Mara.
