Meade St. Station

Meade St. Station is an ideal pit stop for the Denver traveler, both for its great food and for the location. This colorful little bar and grill sits nestled in the historic 32nd Ave. distric, surrounded by 19th Century rural housing about a mile and a half from downtown Denver. The food is exceptional, and perhaps the best value in the city. From chicken gordon bleu to the baseball cut sirloin, the menu offers a diverse and tasty American menu. The onion rings and wings make for outrageous appetizers, while the homemade chili never made a cold beer taste better. The atmosphere is filled with family and locals with a mini attempt at a sports bar. The bar is always packed with friendly locals and the two tv's broadcast Denver sporting events. Entrees range from $6 to $14 with the bulk on the lower end. Drinks are reasonably priced and the help is Denver friendly. Live bands frequent the place but I was never much of a fan.
