Always Go When I Want Mexican Comfort Food

I think they have crack added to their salsa because I'm totally addicted to it. It's delicious and super spicy for a restaurant salsa. And they just leave a big jug of it on your table and keep the fresh, hot, salty tortilla chips coming as long as you can eat them. While I'd stay away from anything called a tostada (it's just a tortilla with cheese on it), pretty much everything else is delicious. All the enchilada choices are great, the chile relleno is a true poblano fried and delicious, the quesadillas are thick and come with plenty of meat and guacamole, and I love the chalupas with fajita beef because they come with the pork flavored refried beans--twice as delicious as the regular refried bean. The beers are about $3.00 and the margaritas are about $7--a little pricey, but tasty nonetheless. The service is fast and friendly--I've never had to wait more than 10 minutes even when they are crazy busy. I take everyone to Ojeda's!!!

If it's Friday night and I'm in Dallas, you'll find me at Ojeda's, with the best Tex-Mex in the city. Everywhere else is just disappointing after eating at Ojeda's.

Try the brisket tacos, and of course the margaritas. The sour cream chicken enchiladas are excellent. I also like the puffed tacos (a corn tortilla fried and puffed up, then stuffed with meat, tomatoes, lettuce, etc.) and the chicken flautas. If the salsa on the table is too hot for you, ask for some mild salsa.

During the winter, go for the tortilla soup.
