Terrible Service, Horrid Food

I don't even know where to start with my review. I went there with my friends and including myself we were the only two Asians out of our group of seven. I have no idea if any other Asians ran into this kind of treatment, but the hassel the bartenders gave my other Asian friend was ridiculous. When we first drove into the parking lot, the lot keeper told us we couldn't park there because there was a wedding being held there soon, but we could park at the other lots near by. So we did and decided to get something to eat first.

We ordered at the outside area. I didn't make a big fuss over what I ordered, but it was the "Fried clam dinner plate", which cost me a little over $23, and handed the girl $25 and let her keep the change for tip. When I received my "dinner plate", all it consisted of was a little carton of half way burnt fried clams and nothing else. Now in my head a dinner plate, involves some sort of side dishes. I even had to ask for tartar sauce. We should've stuck to the plan and ordered something next door at Flo's Clam Shack, but the line was too long there and opted to order something at that beach club.

When we finally was bored at the beach and decided to join our friends at the bar area. I wanted to order a pitcher of beer. My other Asian friend and I went to the bar area and wait for a while until we were finally asked for our I.D.'s. The gentleman looked at mines for a while, made a comment saying, "That's not you", he laughed a little and handed me back my ID. My friend for some odd reason laminated his ID because he always ends up breaking his in half. Now the bartender handed his ID to the other female bartender, whom said his ID does not look like a MA ID, because she too had one and where his picture was placed was not the same as hers. If these genius' behind the bar realized that his ID was identical to mine, besides our info of course. Plus they added in he laminated it, so he took of the lamination, plus he had his other ID's to back up his license. Now they wouldn't serve me because I was with my friend. We went back to our group and told them the story. Plus my friend found his temporary paper ID and went back up with my other friends, I think at this point it was to make a point. It took two other caucasians to talk some sense into this girl and the other gentleman, my caucasian friend made a comment to her saying this kind of rudeness is not going to get her anywhere. I work at a hospital and the basic ground rule of customer service is all the same; and believe me when I say the snide comments and little jokes the two bartenders made was unneccessary. We left the place and spent a total of five hours there; leaving around 7 PM. Never did I see that "wedding party" there. Going to that place ruined my vacation. I defintely plan to tell my collegues and friends back in Boston about my adventure at this establishment. Plus I'm sure those two bartenders are going to get far in life with the kind of attitudes they have. If it was my choice, I would give this place no stars, but unfortunately I needed to put at least one star to rate it.

We had a delicious halibut dinner. The setting is very nice. It was quite crowded because it was Wednesday and all their dinners were $10.99, even the ones that were marked $22 on the menu. Most of the people were locals who appeared to be dining after work.

The Atlantic Beach Club

Very enjoyable, from the wait staff to the views of the ocean. The food was good, delivered timely and presented well.

The resturant caters to all dining styles, from casual dinner after the beach, to more dressier affairs.

Small children are welcome.
