Best Tex-Mex in Houston

Houston has a lot going against it - the heat, not the prettiest belle on the block, etc... but the great things about Houston make up for the obvious shortfalls. Teotihuacan is one of those great things. I've lived in Houston for more than 30 years and of all the great tex-mex places (both neighborhood joints and the more known places), I think this is the best. There's a lot on the menu but I find it hard to pass up the fajitas. A platter that can feed 3 (or 2 can stuff themselves silly), costs about 20 bucks, and it is stupendous - the best flout tortillas anywhere, great beef and chicken. Others also rave about the tacos al pastor - simple with onions and cilantro - and the carnitas. Really, you cannot go wrong. We've taken lots of people here, adn everyone loves it. I always go to the one on Irvington at Cavalcade; have never been to the one on Airline. The other great plus is that you never have to wait for a table, even on Friday night in H-town...
