Wonderful food, fun waitstaff, and - (if they still do it) - they set a caraff of wine on your table and go by the "honor system" and you tell them how many glasses you've had. Dark, loud atmosphere..... very good food for the price.

This is one of my favorite Italian restaurants in Houston, and it's also a great value. The walls are painted in a festive fresco that depicts a festive scene along a Venetian Canal, and it really makes for a playful and friendly atmosphere. It's owned by the same company that launched many other successful Italian places in Houston, like La Griglia and Vallone's. Like most Houston restaurants, parking is plentiful.

The pasta and entree dishes are excellent, and I highly recommend the stuffed and fried calamari appetizer, the rigatoni with homemade Italian sausage, and the chocolate cake for dessert.
