Description: There is a little historic area in San Diego called Old Town. If you have never been there you must go. There are several things to do and see. There are also many places to eat. One of which is called coyote Café. This place is not like your typical restaurants. It was very unique and a very different experience. We made reservations ahead of time since it was a Saturday night, so when we got there we were seated pretty quick, the little time we did wait we walked around the indoor/outdoor shopping strip side of the restaurant.
I am going to sidetrack and try to explain that. So the restaurant is set up where it is part inside part out side (right in the middle) then on the other side is the bar inside and 3 or 4 shops. There is also an upstairs inside section. So these shops are part of the restaurant but they are made to look like they are a shopping strip outside the restaurant, while still being in the restaurant. I know that probably does not make sense.
Okay so back to shopping. We went into one shop that had tones of salt-water taffy; they had every flavor you could imagine. There were also other varieties of candy. So I loaded up on a little candy and then headed nest door to a shoe store, we looked around there and by then our table was ready. We were seated outside which, on this night was not the most enjoyable. IT was quite chilly and the big out door heaters were not enough to keep us warm. We proceeded to order, my husband had the taco plate and my self the fajitas. Neither was just out of this world but both liked okay.
Our service was a little slow. Maybe it was the cold weather slowing them down too. So when we eventually got to pay we left right away to get warm. The over all experience was fine and we would probably eat there again, but it would not be our first choice of places to eat. The way the restaurant was set up with the shops and all was very neat and the atmosphere of relaxation was nice, I am sure more relaxing when the weather is better.
