George's on Fifth

We ate at George's on a Saturday night at 8:30pm. We did not need reservations, but it did take a while to get a table. The setting was a bit stuffy for us, and you could hear the dance music from the club below. Once we sat down, it took 10 minutes for a server to greet us.

The three people I was with all ordered drinks; I ordered a water. My husband and I ordered the grilled pork chop and the top sirloin steak. Our friends ordered the lobster and steak. I also ordered a Caesar salad.

Our food was good and was presented in a great manner. Before we received our bill, the server brought us a Grande Manier Chocolate Mousse dessert to apologize for the original bad experience. As a chocolate lover, this was the best thing I ate all weekend.

My husband and I were able to eat and drink there for about $65 with tip. Our friends spent closer to $125 without tip.

It is a nice place, a little stuffy but with great food.
