Memo's House of Pancakes

What can I add? The high tech choco pancakes sound weird for a meal between 10am and 2pm but they are superb. The eggs Benedict are among the best, huge, great. Avoid going on Saturdays and Sundays due to crowds. I love weekdays around 1pm. OJ, freshly squeezed, was 18 pesos last week!

I really enjoyed this place. I'm a person that loves breakfast, and this was right up my alley. It is on the north end of the marina, with a section of inside dining. They serve American breakfast foods with some Mexican ones, all very good and fairly priced. We ate there every morning, and it was great every time. I think the service was outstanding. The server we had was wonderful; he remembered everything we told him and asked how the day before went. It felt like he was a friend. There was a nice view as well.

You MUST eat breakfast here at least once while in Vallarta! It's no IHOP! I had a Hawaiian breakfast special and the pancakes were out of sight! My cakes came huge, hot, and full of delicious fresh pineapple, coconut, and fruit-flavored syrup.

The staff was exceptionally friendly, the atmosphere cheery and clean, and the food impeccable. My only regret was that we chose to eat there on one of our last days in Vallarta. This is raved about by many tourists, as well as by locals. And for good reason--don't miss it! They serve breakfast daily until 2pm.

THE BEST PLACE FOR BREAKFAST!!! They make anything from pancakes, waffles, hash browns, eggs...to huevos rancheros and quesadillas. We love to eat breakfast here because it is so cheap, much cheaper than the hotel buffets, and much better too! Located on Basillo Badillo. They open later...around 8am. Our average meal for two...$10 USC. You can't beat this restaurant!!!

Ok, sometimes there are lines, but unless you are ready to pass out from hunger, WAIT! My life became complete after polishing off my first stack of Oh Henry! pancakes. Chocolate pancakes with peanut butter and nuts slathered between. Order the pancake sandwhich and you get your choice of eggs and meat. Just what the tummy needs before you explore Old Town/Olas Altas area or head off to Los Muertos beach, a few blocks away.

Memo also serves fabulous fresh fruits and tradition Mexican breakfast fare- my friends love the entire menu. Me? I stick with the Oh Henry's since I am a loyal kinda gal.

Memo also offers a cooking class some evenings in the high season. His personality makes you want to get in the kitchen even if you have a cooking-phobia.

Try and get a table in the rear, under the lush tropical foliage... and hoist a pancake in my name.
