Description
While the competition is stiff in Istanbul for restaurants to adopt a theme and do it well, Vareli is the only restaurant we know who does medieval so well. Custom-made pewter tankards, plates, dishes, and wall sconces accessorize the restaurant with its fieldstone floor, stools made from wine barrels, and crude plank tables. Servers adorned in alehouse/pirate-looking garb offer a variety of wines, imported cheeses, and smoked fish and meats, along with local, Greek, and Spanish dishes. Live Latin music nightly.
