They have pretty decent food, but go for the drinks and the blues. Get the barbeque sausage with cheese and beer - a Southern tradition that helps keep the midnight munchies away. It's right on Beale Street, a nice snapshot of America's true music home.

In addition to having some of the best live music in Memphis, B.B. King’s has some pretty darn good food. I have been here for lunch several times (never for dinner--sorry), and the food was really good. It is just typical Memphis food (BBQ sandwiches, catfish, stuff like that). I loved my BBQ sandwich; it was absolutely huge, and the fries were pretty good, as well. The only thing is that, if you are a purist like me, make sure that you ask for the slaw on the side; otherwise you get it on top of the sandwich!

In addition to the good food, B.B. King’s has a really good atmosphere. The place is so laid-back; there is always some kind of music playing (whether live or over the sound system). It is dark in here, so if you are looking for a light, airy place, I wouldn’t recommend coming here. Also, it can sometimes get a bit loud here, so if you want a deep conversation, I would go somewhere else.

At night, it turns into a bar, and there is live music on the weekends. Sorry, I don’t know about during the week. It is a great place to come and eat, as well as sit and have a few drinks. The crowd is pretty eclectic--everyone from college students to tourists to middle-aged couples and cowboys. It is a great place to visit and listen to some jazz!

It really surprised me that nobody ever covered this fine restaurant. Being one of the few locations of BB King's clubs, this one is right on the famous Beale Street.

Live Blues music starts at 8 pm. The music is really great. And there is a small dance floor if you feel like dancing. There are a few tables on the first floor and there are some more on the second that overlook the stage.

The food is fatastic. "Mouth-Watering Ribs" is the best ribs entree ever. A friend tried some Southern style chicken, but he complained it was not really that "Southern."

Anyway, great place if you enjoy local culture and live music.
