Banff has over 40 restaurants, many of which fit the fine dining category. We sampled several on our five day stay in Banff. Ticino was by far the best. We actually returned twice, as the food was so delicious. Ticino is the southermost canton of Switzerland and is the Italian section of the country. Therefore, this restaurant, owned by a Swiss gentleman has a mixture of cuisines from his native country. We ordered a roasted rack of veal and breast of duck, which was memorable in taste and presentation, with five different types of fresh vegetables as accompaniments. On our second visit, we had medallions of vennison with a blueberry sauce that was fantastic.
