Description: Not to be confused with the Black Dog Tavern, the Black Dog Cafe is a quiet place to stop and have a juice and a cookie while resting before you have to move on to the next town. There is a bakery attached and it's a large warehouse providing all the fresh bread and desserts you could want. There is also a sandwich shop with a tasty deli. Get your favorite sandwich on their fresh bread and soak it down with a Nantucket Nectar.
Of course, a retail store takes up half the space so you can buy more Black Dog merchandise. Not much of a view (if you want a water view, go to the Tavern; it's right on the water and you can see everything from every table). Remember there are Black Dog retail stores all over the island, however, the only places to get food are the Cafe, the Bakery (main one at the cafe and a smaller one near the tavern) and the Tavern itself, all located in Vineyard Haven. Take a cookie home!
