Lobster Pot

The Lobster Pot looks like a "why bother" tourist trap from the outside, but it is a don't-miss dining opportunity with a great waterfront dining room. We always try to get at least one meal there when in P-Town and have never been disappointed. We usually try to go during off-peak meal times so we can get a table by the window and overlook the pier as we enjoy a great meal. All the specialty items are terrific, the lobster bisque is smooth, and you just can't go wrong with any of the items. Make sure everyone you are with gets different things, because sampling the variety is half the fun!!!!!

They give you a ton of food here, and the waitresses are very friendly. We recommend the clam chowder, fried shrimp, and, of course, the lobster. The restaurant is situated right on the waterfront, so it's a nice view while eating.

This place was recommended by a local person who knew we were visiting Provincetown for the day. We had lobster, of course -- very good. Nice staff and nice view over the ocean.

Very good food and good service. A hole in the wall and kind of rustic, but it's full of people. Off-season and eating early, one can usually get in and sit near a window to see the wharf area.

Their lobster tanks stocks lobsters from 1 1/2 pounds to usually 7 or 8 pounds, if you can beleive that! This is a very casual restaurant that serves not only steamed lobsters, but steamed mussels, clams, scallops, fried oysters stuffed quahogs and more. The McCullough family owns the restaurant and they are very friendly.

I had a 3 1/2 pound lobster which melted in my mouth and my husband had the scallop dinner that included wild rice, coleslaw and onion rings for $11.95. Servings were very large and we actually could not finish all of the onion rings. Everything was excellent. Dinners range from $8.95 to $16.95.

The atmosphere is not romantic, it is more of a family style restaurant. I highly recommend it.
