Villa Italia

Villa Italia is a bit of an institution in Belfast and it's not unheard to have queues out of the doors - they don't take reservations except for large groups. The restaurant is just down the road from Queens University, and there is plenty of parking in the side streets around it. The interior has been decorated with murals of Italian scenes but all together it can be a little oppressive.

The place may not serve the best Italian food available but the place is family friendly and the portions are generous, which make the restaurant popular. On the menu, there is a good variety of pasta dishes and pizza at a reasonable price.

The restaurant is quite large inside, and if you are looking for a quiet romantic dinner this is not the place as it's busy and the atmosphere has more of a buzz about it rather than romantic. However, if you are looking for a decent restaurant that is good for a family, this is it.
