Description
Times have changed since local comedians The Hole in the Wall Gang had a sketch in which a Belfast man went to a cookery programme on the BBC to present such a delicacy as 'a stuffed bap'. The filling consisted of cheese and onion crisps and the dessert was 'just a fag'. Nowadays you can go to Dante's and order a mozzarella, fresh basil and tomato sandwich, or a bacon, brie and avocado sandwich, or even a roast ham and asparagus sandwich. You can choose between white bread, granary bread, baguette or ciabatta. Despite the name, Dante's sandwiches do not come from hell, they rather seem to have been made in heaven. Primarily a takeaway, delivery is also available.
