Primarily a takeaway, if you're here early enough you can sit perched at one of the chrome bars that line the room. Fare blends the healthy with the Belfast-traditional. There are sandwiches aplenty, salads from their extensive salad bar are paid for according to weight, but the real treat of the Streat is the champ - a traditional Belfast delicacy. Plain champ is mashed potatoes with lots of butter, salt, pepper and spring onion, but you can also enjoy your champ with various toppings here. Wash it down with one of the Streat's excellent coffees and the afternoon suddenly seems manageable after all.
