Giros is where the Belfast Youth and Community Group hang out as well as being home to some of the cheapest vegetarian food on offer to the public in the city. This collective, fuelled by volunteers, has been going strong for fourteen years. Drop by for some of their good-conscience fare: vegetarian, vegan, organic and fair trade where possible. Giros hosts a Belfast food co-operative on the first Saturday of every month - become a member and enjoy great deals thereafter - as well as being a staunch supporter of the local youth music scene, providing room space for rehearsals and a showcase for local talent via their frequent live performances and discos. They also house the City Arts Workshop and budding photographers can avail of their darkroom facilities.
