Bangor Steakhouse is a recent arrival in town, but it has its own very individual character and tempting speciality dishes. In a small, Americanised interior, decked out with Indians and various other symbols of the Old West, patrons are offered a large menu of, well, steaks. Rare, medium, well done, spicy, peppered and more - and then of course there is still the restaurant's main attraction: the 32oz steak challenge. For the price of £14.95, diners are invited to polish off the steak in question and earn themselves a place on the wall of fame and their very own T-shirt.
