One of the best restaurants I've ever been to - the food is so fresh and prepared in such wonderful, unique ways. At my first visit, I had gulf shrimp in a Vietnamese sauce with rice fritters and lemongrass slaw. The food was so good, I almost melted. Dessert was a fantastic, flavorful berry cobbler. I wanted to spend each evening out at a different restaurant, but Passionfish was so good, I had to come back. The next night, I had an appetizer (sweet potato fries - mm!) and a salad (baked gorgonzola - to-die-for) and dessert (banana lime rum - if you miss this, you will regret it--it's the closest I've come to licking a plate in public).

Every local on the Monterey Peninsula knows that when you want to have a fabulous dinner, whether with a group or just the two of you, Passionfish always comes through! Their claim to fame is their retail-priced wine list that is several pages long. Passionfish brings in some of the rarest and most delicious wines at unbelievable prices! Their food is just as noteworthy with a California-Asian creative flair.

Always ask your server for a wine recommendation and make sure to visit Passionfish when you are on the Monterey Peninsula. It truly is one of my all-time favorite restaurants and might become yours as well...
