My husband's nephew took us to the Cheesecake Factory for dinner. I was excited to go, as I love cheesecake. For the meal, I had the Symphony Salad. It was OK, but nothing I would write home about. My husband had the Bang-Bang Chicken and Shrimp. I was not sitting close to him, so was unable to taste it, but he said that it was just OK. He did note, though, that the meal was served on a big platter, but the platter was mostly occupied with rice. Another person at the table had a chicken pasta dish. Her comment on her meal was also that it was fair.
Now what I expected to be the highlight of the meal was to come: the cheesecake. I had the White Chocolate Raspberry Truffle and was very disappointed. My husband had the Original and was also disappointed. Now I'm not saying that they were not good. It's just that they are not "true" good cheesecakes. If you've had a good cheesecake in New York, Montreal, or Toronto, you will know what I mean.
There were a lot of young kids (teenagers) in the restaurant, and my perspective on it is that they are catering to a younger crowd and serving an upscale version of McDonalds, Wendy's, etc.
