You have your choice of indoor or outdoor dining. The food is very good with large servings. If you go away hungy, it's becouse you didn't finish your plate.

Having eaten at many Mexican restuarants, I found less than average and the prices slightly higher than other places. The service was not as good as normally found in Mexican restuarants. I would not recommend the Oaxaca. I was told that there were better Mexican restuarants in town.

Large portions that are served quickly. They always seem to be busy. Very active place. As full as the place was, we didn't feel crowded. Great spot for unwinding after a day of hiking the trails or shopping.

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served each day from 8am - 9pm. You are served warm chips and salsa as soon as you're seated. Ask for the hot stuff if adventurous. Our meals were very good and the service was great. Try the small margaritas. They were great about substituting some foods. Sit by the window as the view is great.

Oaxaca is a Mexican restaurant with a fun atmosphere, but the food is nothing to rave about if you like Mexican food. The food seems to be a bit heavy on the grease, butter, and less of a focus on the healthier or tastier choices that Mexican food can offer. We did enjoy the local trout, but the vegetables were swimming in butter. If you want good Mexican food, try El Rincon at Tlaquepaque. Otherwise, if you enjoy a fun atmosphere and a good margarita, then try Oaxaca.
