Coffee Pot Restaurant

The Coffee Pot was conveniently located across the street from The Villas of Sedona on Highway 89A. It was recommended to me by one of the maintenance staff. Although they are only open for breakfast and lunch, this restaurant offers the biggest and best omlettes in town. They offer a choice of over 100 different omlettes which are accompanied with homefries or hashbrowns, and fresh homemade biscuits or toast. I ordered a shrimp and cheese omlette which was literally served to me in a blink of an eye. Definitely worth the trip.

"101 omelets" says it all. They also have various daily specials as well. All very filling for the hiking we did. So good, that we ended up eating breakfast every day here. Quick seating before 9am.

OK, so you get up in the morning in a strange place and you are hungry. Where should we go eat breakfast?

We asked the locals where they would recommend and 5 out of 6 people said "You have to go to the Coffee Pot Restaurant". So, off we go. We walked in and were greeted with a smile by the host. He took our name since there was a short wait. This is no problem, however, since the restaurant has a lovely gift shop attached to it. So we all browsed around the shop for about 10 minutes and then were taken to our seat. We were lucky enough to sit outside on the patio. Round tables with umbrellas adorned the area. Beautiful flowers all around us.

OK, now for the reason we came, let's take a look at this menu. 100 different omelets! How does one choose???? Or would you rather have waffles? Pancakes? Eggs? Fruit salad? This is too good to believe! Fresh squeezed orange juice and aromatic, fresh brewed coffee were brought to our table. Now we were ready to place our order.

The waitress was excellent. Helped us with our orders and made plenty of recommendations. She made sure our coffee cups were never empty and checked on us often.

Knowing we were tourists, she offered to take our picture. She smiled all the time and made our first visit so pleasant that we returned every morning for breakfast. On the last day, we all got around and had a picture take with her. She thanked us and said "It's been a pleasure waiting on you this week...I do hope you return someday."

We, too, hope to return not only to the restaurant, but to Sedona someday soon.

This restaurant is a MUST!

I only have to tell you one thing--get the huevos rancheros! Even if you never had them before, you'll love them here!! The rest of the menu was very nice too. I think they have over 100 omelets on the menu.

Three words: 101 different omelettes. Add in a bottomless cup of great coffee -- all for under $10 -- and you've got a great way to start an adventurous day in Sedona. But beware, this isn't exactly a hidden treasure -- we waited 45 minutes for a table.
