The Coffee Pot restaurant in West Sedona serves great, cheap breakfast all day. It's classic diner food that is surprisingly ungreasy. The menu is huge and includes Mexican food and American comfort foods, but I stuck to breakfast food. Service is quick, and it would be challenging to spend $10 per person.

The most reviewed restaurant on this site for Sedona was the Coffee Pot so we knew we had to try it. Try it we did and returned just about every morning after. It is that good!

The name for the restaurant comes from the fact that it is situated beneath the rock formation that looks like an old time coffee percolator. There is always a tough time to find a parking space, which is a good indication to me. Most days there was a short wait, the worst wait being Sunday morning. That was a half an hour wait but we shopped in the gift shop while we waited. (We were told that the owner searches for unique items to sell in this store from as far away as Italy.)
The outside of the restaurant is fairly plain. A sign reads "Home of 101 Omelettes." Is that a challenge to try to come back and eat every one? The inside is so pretty. There are murals and other paintings depicting Sedona scenes and other Western themes. There are a myriad of different tables layouts and some of the tables are on different levels.
You are seated at your table and you notice a full pitcher of water with drinking glasses to fill on your own. Very unique coffee mugs adorn the tables. They are half moon shaped ceramic and very large with splashes of several colors on them. Very pretty.

Quickly, a busboy comes and pours extremely good coffee for anyone who wants it and leaves a full pot on your table for refills. (I love that because you don’t have to wait for someone to come by to refill, and I love my morning coffee!). The "drink guy" will also get you any other juice, milk, tea, soda, you want. After you are settled with your drinks, you survey the menu. There really are 101 omelettes! Some of them are variations on a theme, for instance, bacon and cheese, bacon and cheese and tomatoes, and bacon and cheese and tomatoes and onions. There are some different combinations, like peanut butter and jelly or shrimp and avocado. Over the course of the week, we tried several and they were all delish! You also get a choice of hash browns, home fries, or grits and a variety of toast choices or a homemade biscuit. I have to say that the biscuit was the only thing I was not crazy about in this restaurant. On other days, we tried the eggs benedict (very good), waffles with pecans (Yummy), and just eggs and bacon. Good breakfast everyday!

The waitresses are all very friendly. One that stood out was Dori who made an outstanding effort to follow up with all of her tables every few minutes. The prices are reasonable and one can have an excellent breakfast for $15-20 for two. This restaurant also had a 10% discount for those people staying at Arroyo Roble Resort.

A very decent place to get a good, quick breakfast. They have 101 omlette choices, and you can invent your own if, by some chance, you don't find what you want. They serve American and Mexican. Very nice covered patio if you don't want to eat inside. Reasonable prices and acceptable service. It is hard to get a parking spot. It's a very popular restaurant.

Dinner choices in Sedona are plentiful. Breakfast, however, is a much easier choice. The Coffee Pot restaurant is a wonderful local place that’s always busy. It’s truly easy to find. Just look for Coffee Pot Rock and then look down. It’s right under it, on Highway 89A.

Prepare yourself for a great, hearty breakfast—and be prepared to wait. There’s always a wait, but is not usually more than 20 minutes at a time. There’s a small gift shop in the lobby to browse for a last-minute gift while you wait.

Now, the food is what keeps locals and visitors alike coming back time after time. They boast being the home of 101 omelets. They have combinations you would never imagine. For instance, peanut butter and jelly, peanut butter and banana, avocado and sprouts… the list keeps going. The huevos rancheros is great, as is the steak and eggs. The waffles are FABULOUS. I’ve never had a bad meal or a bad experience. The staff is really great. No matter HOW busy it is, they’re always in a good mood and always helpful. But, let’s get real here, the food is the reason we all go out to eat, and the food here is so good and a great value. I’ve never had lunch here, but they do offer a pretty extensive lunch menu as well.

Like I said, be prepared to wait for a table. Weekends are always busier than weekdays, but the wait is never very long. The parking lot is small, so park across the street; it’s easier. Most of the businesses around the restaurant have tow-away signs if you’re not visiting that particular establishment, so don’t chance it and park across the street.

The Coffee Pot is home of 101 omelettes, and you order them by number. When you are seated, your table is already equipped with a pot of coffee, cups, and a pitcher of water with cups. Your server arrives promptly to take your order, which gives you time to blink a few times, and then the server is back with your meal. They also serve lunch with salads and sandwiches. Sit out on the patio and listen to the water fall at the fish pool. The inside of the restaurants has beautiful artwork on the walls, and there's also a well-equipped gift shop.
