Favorite Sedona Eatery
I've been to Sedona, AZ countless times and I've made a point of eating at Hideaway Restaurant each and every time. I HIGHLY recommend eating dinner a few hours before sunset and sitting on the deck to view the beautiful red rocks behind the restaurant with the brilliant sun shining on the rocks. The food is GREAT but the atmosphere is priceless.

It has been a staple in the community for over 20 years. If you are a common person and not the snob that tends to flock to Sedona these days, you will love this place. Great views from the patio and great service. The food is great as well.

The Hideaway Restaurant is very appropriately named because it is tucked away in a small strip mall at the very back corner. The specialties are their sandwiches and pizzas. You can each downstairs or upstairs, depending on your smoking preference, and you can also sit outside on either floor. The view is magnificent, overlooking Oak Creek and those beautiful red-rock formations. It's a great place to relax after a day of sightseeing or shopping. The service is excellent and unhurried. The food is hearty and delicious.

We arrived after viewing the sunset from the airport mesa, so we did not get to fully enjoy the excellent view from the patio seating. The patio provided a very pleasent dining area as the evening cool off nicely. The meal portions are large and of excellent quality.

Not a highlight of our stay. This place is known for their antipasta salads, so that should have told us something right there. My sister was the only smart one of us and ordered the salad. She had a meal for the next day just as big as when it was first served. The lasagna was greasy and spaghetti not much better.
