Located near the University of Alabama at Birmingham campus and medical center, The Purple Onion serves American and Mediterranean food 24 hours a day, seven days per week. There are some booths along the front window and several tables outside. It is a pleasant place to sit when the weather is nice. The service
is fast, and the portions are large. No alcohol is served.
