Service, though largely provided by youngsters resembling students, was both friendly and knowledgable. Wine and water glasses were quickly refilled; no requests were made to seem too taxing.

Soho serves a variety of breads with spiced olive oils. They are delicious across the board - sun dried tomato and rosemary were our two favorites - but don't fill up. You'll be disappointed when you're too stuffed to eat your other food.

Appetizers were unanimously popular. We sampled calamari lightly fried and doused with ginger-soy sauce; seviche; seared tuna; pork egg rolls (yum!); fresh mozzarella with tomato; and spinach quesadilla. Wonderful tastes all around.

Entrée favorites included a molasses grilled pork chop and sea bass. Even if you don't routinely order pork in a restaurant, you should consider it here: thick and juicy with more flavor than I personally have tasted in a chop. Sides are delicious too--pork comes with smashed Yukons and creamed corn.

I wasn't completely impressed with the farfalle with chicken, tomato and caramelized onions. It seemed kind of gloppy, and the spices utilized didn't quite work. In short, it was quite similar to something I could whip up at home.

Don't miss dessert. We sampled the waffles with toffee ice cream (amazing!) and chocolate bread pudding with two kinds of caramel (absolutely the best!).

Wines are reasonably priced; emphasis on California varietals.

Parking is available, plentiful and free.
