Mick's seemed like an Atlanta tradition - and claimed their burger had been voted the best in the city. When I entered, I was struck by the levels, the mirrors, and the color - an urban shabby-chic feel.
The waiters and waitresses were attentive, and as it was mid-afternoon and there were very few customers, I had several people waiting on me. At the door, I picked up a Creative Loafing on the way in to peruse during my meal. The feature article noted that the interview for it had been conducted at this very place, a favorite of a local politician.
The burger, however, was not the best I've ever had. And if it's the best in Atlanta, I feel sorry for their citizens. While it was large and good, good is a high praise for it. It came with fries, which were thick and tasty. In the end, it was just an average burger at a typical burger joint.
