The Flying Biscuit is one of the better breakfast joints I've been to. The wait was long, but that was okay due to the fact that there was fresh coffee to enjoy and places to sit while we waited. We learned that people-watching is a good way to pass the time waiting.

The food was excellent. Everything was fairly healthy. For instance, there was turkey bacon instead of pork. I recommend the love cakes, a black-bean patty with feta and salsa. The pancakes were excellent, as well as the biscuits (of course).

The Flying Biscuit is THE place to go for home-cooked breakfast in Atlanta. Co-owned by Indigo Girl Emily Saliers, it features quite possibly the world's best buttermilk biscuits, plus a great casual atmosphere. Don't miss their fabulous breakfast skillets!

The Flying Biscuit is one of the perennial brunch favorites in Atlanta. The wait is ridiculous, but the food is excellent and everyone likes to be able to say they ate here. It is not much to look at (funky colors, quaint interior, funky wait-staff), but the food is fantastic (a nice combination of Southern, veggy and comfort food). I recommend going after brunch to avoid the crowd.
