While the minimalist Pacific Rim trend is all the rage with tourists, locals (Hawaiians, Polynesians and Tongans especially) like their meals to be simple, cheap and HUGE. This place gives the people what they want, and has been very successful at it. The menu features all the favorites: Pork Lau Lau, Loco Moco, Chicken Katsu and Kalua Pork. All meals feature large portions of meat, two scoops of rice, macaroni salad and potato salad. Sandwiches and soup are also served. There are two other locations on Maui, but both are take-out operations.
