SeaWatch Restaurant

The SeaWatch Restaurant is ideally poised high above the Wailea coastline. Because of its enviable location in the clubhouse of the Wailea Golf Club Emerald and Gold Courses, it is surrounded by rolling hills of verdant green landcape and incredible view of the Islands of Molokini and Koho'olawe.

The SeaWatch Restaurant has expansive indoor dining room called "The Grille Room" with comfortable lounge-style seating and an open interior. It is decorated with two large murals illustrating the surrounding natural beauty of the scenery as well as beautiful and colorful paintings of renowned Maui Artists. The Grille Room opens to the lanai with large glass doors to welcome in Maui's warm tradewinds. Dinner al fresco at the lanai is available all year round and is complemented by whitewashed oak tables and chairs. It is where one can take full advantage of the incredible sweeping view beyond. The ambience of the restaurant is further enchanced with two lushly landscaped water features just beyond the lanai, the sound of cascading waterfall providing a tranquill dining experience. The ambience of both the restaurants' dining areas is tropical, elegantly casual and perfectly romantic. Accompanying this memorable dining experience is a spectacular horizon which lights up the Maui skies in varying colors of orange during sunset every evening.

The food is delicious, the innovative dishes are created by Chef Carlos depicting a style he calls "coastal cuisine" using local ingredients and the Islands' catch of the day. The flavors are fresh, clean and very memorable. The menu has an array of selection; hors d'oeuvres includes Pacific crab cakes ($10), Porcini-Seared Alaskan scallops ($12), and Macadamia Nut Brie ($10). The Chilled tiger prawns served on a Blue Salad Crab with tangy chili sauce dressed in Mango chutney($11.00) is both refreshing and addictive. For entrees they have Muscovy duck breast ($27), Spiny Lobster tails ($?), and Miso glazed tiger prawns ($25). The daily special, Macadamia Nut Crusted Island Fish with lemongrass Butter Sauce served with Jasmine rice ($?), is trully delectable. And the dessert menu? Heavenly. The restaurant is also open for breakfast and lunch 8am - 2pm, dinner daily 6-9pm. The upper and lower pond areas of the restaurants can be an ideal and a memorable location for weddings.

SeaWatch Restaurant

This was our after wedding celebration spot! We "dropped" in, which is not recommended, but we didn't know where we were going. The grounds and view were amazing and were a proper pre-cursor to the dinner. We went all out, and had the bill to show for it, but it was unforgettable. The menu is extensive and lists tons of local fresh caught choices. The wine list is amazing and affordable. They actually perform weddings here and provide accomodations for receptions. The website is www.seawatchrestaurant.com. The waitstaff was incredible. I will continue to dine at the Seawatch when I am back in Maui.
