Description
This eatery specializes in fowl, serving chicken any style including on the grill, roasted and tropical and highlights its Pollo al Jigue (Jigue chicken). Originally a homestead, it was built in the mid-1700s and remodeled in 1810. It retains the beautiful plaster mouldings of the ceilings, bronze lamps and engraved crystal along with the stuccoed Moorish motifs which stand out. Its cultural import is seen on the facade, which exemplifies the use of murals dating from the mid-19th century.
